Born from a passion for the atmosphere, Jason Politte's interest in capturing timeless images commenced in 1999 with photography serving as a means of documenting the violently beautiful side of Mother Nature during his storm chases. From these building blocks, a foundation was laid as Jason took the steep learning curve in stride. Using experience as a guide, Jason’s self-taught approach allows him to think outside the box when shooting, utilizing his mind to thoroughly compose and visualize the finished product before releasing the shutter. It’s this style that allows still-frames captured from a single moment in time to not only show the magnificence of the world surrounding our everyday lives but to also tell a story. Jason’s main photographic interest resides in severe weather, specifically supercell thunderstorms and tornadoes. However, with enlightenment through philosophy and a better understanding of life, he’s broadened his range to include the rest of our surroundings and those who reside in them, striving to transform the mundane into the extraordinary. Jason currently resides in Conway, Arkansas.
